Frequently asked questions

Is Daywise free?

Yes. Planning your day is free: tasks, events, habits, reminders, Today, Plan, focus sessions, weekly and monthly insights, Smart Reflow, the dark theme and data export, with up to three routines. Daywise Premium is an optional monthly or yearly subscription that adds unlimited routines, 3-month and yearly insights ambient sounds for focus and habits that complete themselves from your steps or sleep. New subscribers can try it free for 14 days; the prices and the trial are shown in the app before you subscribe.

Does my data leave my phone?

No. Daywise has no account or server and no ads, analytics or tracking. Everything it keeps stays on your phone; an export goes only where you share it.

Is Daywise on iPhone and Android?

Yes, on both. On both, step and sleep habits can follow your health data (Apple Health on iPhone, Health Connect on Android). On Android, Daywise also has home screen widgets and Do Not Disturb during focus sessions.

Does Daywise move my plans by itself?

No. Smart Reflow only suggests a new order for your flexible tasks; you apply it or keep your schedule. Fixed events and deadlines are never moved without you.

Writing to us

Email [email protected] — the link above opens a message with the subject filled in. To help us help you faster, please include:

  • your phone model and its iOS or Android version (iPhone: Settings → General → About; Android: Settings → About phone),
  • Daywise’s version (at the bottom of Daywise’s Settings — the person icon at the top right of Today),
  • what you did right before the problem; screenshots help.

We never need your tasks, habits or health data to help you, so there is no need to send them.

Free, Premium and the free trial

  • Daywise is free to use for planning your day: tasks, events, habits, reminders, Today, Plan, focus sessions, weekly and monthly insights, Smart Reflow, home screen widgets on Android, the dark theme and data export. Up to three routines are free.
  • Premium adds unlimited routines, 3-month and yearly insights, habits that complete themselves from your steps or sleep (with Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android) and ambient sounds for focus sessions. It is an auto-renewable subscription, monthly or yearly, bought through the App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android. The price is shown next to each plan before you buy.
  • New subscribers can try Premium free for 14 days. When your Apple Account is eligible, the Daywise Premium screen shows the free trial before you subscribe. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the plan’s price is charged to your Apple Account when the trial ends. On Android, when your Google account is eligible the Daywise Premium screen shows the free trial too; unless you cancel before the trial ends, the plan’s price is charged through Google Play when it ends.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends, and the subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. On Android, payment is charged through Google Play, and the subscription renews at the end of each period until you cancel it in Google Play.
  • If Premium ends, nothing you made is deleted: all your routines stay and keep working (only a new one beyond three needs Premium), habits that completed themselves go back to being checked by hand, and the 3-month and yearly insights wait for Premium.
  • On iPhone, Daywise uses Apple’s standard Terms of Use (EULA); on Android, the Google Play Terms of Service apply.

Cancelling or managing your subscription

Apple handles the billing, so you cancel in your Apple Account, not in Daywise: on your iPhone open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Daywise and tap Cancel Subscription — or open apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

Premium stays on until the end of the period you have paid for. To avoid a charge after a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends; Premium stays on until the trial’s end. In Daywise, the Premium card at the top of Settings opens Daywise Premium; while a subscription is active, its Manage subscription link opens the same page. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

On Android, Google Play handles the billing: open the Google Play app, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, choose Daywise and tap Cancel subscription — or open play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Premium stays on until the end of the period you have paid for, or until the end of a free trial. Refunds follow Google Play’s refund policy.

Restoring purchases

On a new phone or after reinstalling Daywise, make sure you are signed in with the Apple Account (on Android: the Google account) you subscribed with, tap the Premium card at the top of Daywise’s Settings and tap Restore purchases.

Reminders and timers

Daywise asks to send notifications the first time it needs to. On Android, allow Alarms & reminders when asked (Settings → Apps → Daywise → Alarms & reminders) so that reminders, routine steps and the end of a focus session arrive at the exact minute; without it Android may deliver them a little late. If a reminder does not arrive, check that notifications for Daywise are on and that the phone’s battery saver does not stop Daywise in the background.

Do Not Disturb during focus (Android)

Turn on Do Not Disturb Mode on the Focus tab. The first time, Android asks you to allow Daywise to change Do Not Disturb (Settings → Apps → Special app access → Do Not Disturb access → Daywise). Daywise then turns the mode on while a session runs and gives it back when the session ends. On iPhone, apps cannot turn on Focus modes; you can turn one on from Control Center.

Health Connect access (Android)

Daywise only reads steps and sleep sessions from Health Connect, and only to show your progress on step and sleep habits (with Premium, also to complete them). To check or change its access, open Settings → Health Connect (on some phones Settings → Security and privacy → Privacy → Health Connect) → App permissions → Daywise, or in Daywise Settings → Health integrations. Daywise reads when you open it; it does not read in the background.

Apple Health access (iPhone)

Daywise only reads steps and time asleep from Apple Health, and only to show your progress on step and sleep habits (with Premium, also to complete them). Sleep comes from an Apple Watch or a sleep app; the iPhone alone records only time in bed. iPhone doesn’t tell apps whether access was given: to check or change it, open the Health app, tap your profile picture, then Apps → Daywise. Daywise reads when you open it; it does not read in the background. Once you have connected Apple Health, Daywise’s data isn’t included in iCloud or computer backups, so it won’t move to a new iPhone with a backup; Settings → Export your data keeps a copy as a file.

Exporting your data

Settings → Export your data creates a CSV, JSON or PDF file of the sections and the time range you choose and opens the share sheet, so you can save it or send it wherever you like.

Deleting your data

In Daywise open Settings → Privacy and security → Delete all data. Your tasks, habits, routines, focus sessions, settings and all their history are deleted from the phone; this cannot be undone, so you may want to export first. Only the subscription’s last known state is kept. Deleting the app removes all other Daywise data. Data in Health Connect or Apple Health is not touched. More in the Daywise Privacy Policy.
