Daywise Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This privacy policy applies to the Daywise: Planner & Habits mobile application (app ID com.daywiseplanner.daywise, “Daywise” or “the app”) published by ZOOM BILISIM BILGISAYAR REKLAMCILIK ITHALAT IHRACAT SANAYI TICARET LIMITED SIRKETI (“Zoom Bilişim”, “we”), Barbaros Mahallesi, 5301-2 Sokak, No: 4-1-233, Bornova, 35260 İzmir, Türkiye. Contact: [email protected]. On Google Play, Daywise is listed under the developer name “Ermano HERMES”.

In short: Daywise has no account and no server. It collects, sends and shares no personal data, and it has no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Buying or restoring Premium goes through the App Store on iPhone and Google Play on Android.

What stays on your device

Everything Daywise stores stays only on your phone: your tasks, events and plans, your habits and their history, your routines and focus sessions, the reminders you set, the insights it works out from them, the optional name you can enter for the greeting, and your settings. Daywise has no servers and no user accounts; reminders and timers are scheduled on the phone itself.

On Android, Daywise keeps its data out of Google’s cloud backup and out of device-to-device transfers, so it stays on this phone only. On iPhone, Daywise’s data can be part of your own iCloud or computer backup of the iPhone, like other apps’ data; that backup belongs to your Apple Account and never reaches us. Once you connect Apple Health, Daywise keeps all its data out of iCloud and computer backups, so nothing it has read from Apple Health ends up in iCloud. This also means Daywise’s data won’t move to a new iPhone with a backup; Settings → Export your data keeps a copy as a file.

Health Connect (Android) and Apple Health (iPhone)

With your permission, Daywise reads only steps and sleep: from Health Connect on Android (steps and sleep sessions) and from Apple Health on iPhone (steps and time asleep; sleep comes from an Apple Watch or a sleep app). It uses them only to show your progress on step and sleep habits and, with Premium, to mark such a habit as done when you reach its goal. This data is processed and stored only on your phone, is never sent anywhere, and is never used for advertising or marketing, sold or shared with anyone. Daywise does not write any data to Health Connect or Apple Health and does not read it in the background. Daywise’s use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements; its use of Apple Health (HealthKit) data follows Apple’s HealthKit rules, including that such data is not stored in iCloud.

Daywise says the same on its health screen: “Read access only. The raw data that is read is used only for your step and sleep habits and never leaves this phone. The app works the same without it.”

You can change or remove Daywise’s access at any time: on Android in Health Connect’s app permissions, on iPhone in the Health app under Profile → Apps → Daywise. In Daywise, Settings → Health integrations shows what is read and lets you disconnect.

Do Not Disturb (Android)

If you allow it, Daywise turns on your phone’s Do Not Disturb mode while a focus session runs and gives it back when the session ends. This permission only lets Daywise change that mode; it does not let Daywise read your notifications.

Exporting your data

You can export your data from Settings → Export your data as a file (CSV, JSON or a PDF summary). The file is created on your phone and goes only where you choose to share it; Daywise sends it nowhere by itself.

How your data is protected

Everything Daywise keeps is stored in the app’s private storage on your phone, which other apps cannot read. Daywise sends nothing it stores to any server. Health Connect and Apple Health themselves decide which apps may read your health data, and you can change that at any time.

Data we do not collect

We receive no personal information from Daywise: no name, email address, contacts, location, photos, health data, device identifiers or usage data. Daywise contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting code and does not track you across apps or websites.

If you have chosen in your iPhone’s settings to share analytics with app developers (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may share anonymous crash reports and usage statistics about Daywise with us. This is controlled by Apple and by you, and you can turn it off there at any time. Google Play may likewise show us anonymous crash and performance statistics if you have allowed usage and diagnostics sharing on your Android phone.

Purchases

Daywise Premium is an auto-renewable subscription bought through Apple’s App Store (on Android: Google Play). The store processes the payment under its own privacy policy (Apple, Google); your payment details and your Apple or Google account never reach Daywise or us. On the phone, Daywise only checks with the store whether your subscription is active and keeps that answer on the device.

Children

Daywise is meant for ages 13 and up and is not directed at children under 13. Because Daywise collects no personal data, it collects none from children either.

Your rights

Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and, where applicable, the GDPR, you may request information about, correction of or deletion of personal data we hold about you. We hold no personal data from Daywise: everything Daywise keeps is on your device and under your control (see below). For any question or request, email [email protected].

Deleting your data

In Daywise, open Settings → Privacy and security → Delete all data to delete your tasks, habits, routines, focus sessions, settings and all their history from the phone; this cannot be undone, so you may want to export first. Daywise keeps only the subscription’s last known state.

Deleting the app removes all other Daywise data from the phone. Your data in Health Connect or Apple Health is not affected.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on this page and, where appropriate, in an app update.
