Streamio Player Privacy Policy

Last updated:

This privacy policy applies to the Streamio Player app for Android TV, Google TV, phones and tablets (“the app”) and its companion website streamioplayer.com (“the portal”), published by ZOOM BILISIM BILGISAYAR REKLAMCILIK ITHALAT IHRACAT SANAYI TICARET LIMITED SIRKETI (“Zoom Bilişim”, “we”), Barbaros Mahallesi, 5301-2 Sokak, No: 4-1-233, Bornova, 35260 İzmir, Türkiye. Contact: [email protected].

In short: there are no ads, no advertising identifiers and no analytics or tracking tools. Streamio Player provides no content. What you watch goes straight from the app to your IPTV provider; we never see it.

The device’s MAC address

You never create an account. The app shows a device identifier in MAC address format so you can send playlists to it from the portal. It is not your network card’s MAC address: it is derived from your device’s Android ID with a one-way hash, and you can replace it with a new one at any time in Settings → Device → Reset device identity.

What the portal stores

When the app connects to the portal it registers the device with: the device identifier, device model, Android and app version, the interface language, a push token (see below) and the plan (Free or Pro). For each device the portal stores what you send to it there: playlists (M3U links or Xtream Codes accounts), programme guide providers, messages, an optional protection password (stored only as a salted hash) and the status of any Pro purchase. Xtream passwords are encrypted on the server and, in the app, with the Android Keystore.

What stays on your device

Your favourites, own channel groups, watch history (“Recently watched”), channel changes, settings and the downloaded channel lists and programme guides are stored only on your device. Streams are played directly from your provider’s servers.

Push messages

To make playlists you send on the portal appear on the TV within seconds, the app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google). It receives a technical token for the device; the messages contain no personal data — they only tell the app to check for changes.

Error logs you send

If you choose Settings → Advanced → Send error log to support, the app sends the last lines of its technical log, device model, app version and the device identifier, so we can find a problem. Web addresses in the log are cut down to the server name; it contains no passwords or playlist links. We keep the five most recent logs per device.

Cloud backup (Pro)

With Pro you can save a backup on the portal: your settings, playlists you added on the device (without Xtream passwords), favourites, channel changes, locked groups and own groups. Up to five backups per device are kept.

Purchases

Pro is bought through Google Play or, for versions installed outside Google Play, through a payment provider on the portal. We receive the purchase status and a purchase reference, never your card details.

The website

The portal runs behind Cloudflare for security and performance; forms are protected with Cloudflare Turnstile. The portal uses only the cookies it needs to work (for example your language choice).

Keeping and deleting data

Data of devices that have not connected for 90 days is deleted. You can delete a device and everything stored for it at any time on the portal, or by writing to us.

Children

The app is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Parents can lock channel groups with a parental PIN.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, and object to its processing, by writing to [email protected]. You may also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

We will update this page when the app or our practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
